LO2 Be able to generate ideas for an original audio-visual promo - Treatment (P2)

 What is the brief and how have you interpretated it?

 Freeview has asked me to rebrand and refresh an ident about cycling for my chosen ident. In this ident they have asked me to recreate 2 x 30 second ident or 1 x 60 feature ident. I am aloud to base it around TV seasons or part of the daily schedule. Furthermore, I need to do some research before hand about legal ethical issues to ensure that my ident is professional.

 

 What is your purpose of your ident?

 The purpose of my ident is to educate and entertain the audience so that they know what programme that is going to come up next. Therefore, I want my ident to get the audiences in the right mood to ensure they are getting the right message.

 

 Synopsis of your idea

The synopsis of my idea, I will be creating 2 x 30 second idents which will be in the morning and afternoon. These ideas will both link together as they will come up after each channel.  Below are my two ident ideas that I will actually be using and including in my idents.

 

Initial idea number 1:

My initial idea I will be putting it in the morning ident around 11;30am. This will be in the morning after all the morning shows that are done the audiences will still be engaged and would have rime to watch a quick catchy ident that will be 30 seconds. However, this ident will show a cereal box and it will have the number two coming out as cereal and will lay in the bowel as BBC 2.

  • BBC 2 logo at the end 
  • Music in the background (BBC 2 music)

Initial idea number 2;

My second initial idea I will be putting in at lunch times at 13:00pm. This will be after a couple of shows. I want to put my ident at these times because it lunch time and most people could be getting ready for their day and they would see the ident which will be 30 seconds and very interesting. I will be getting a frying pan and I will have a egg go in the pan as it is lunch time and at the end write witch ketchup on it BBC 2.

My medium that I will use is audio visual promos.

Running time for each ident?

 My first initial idea I will be doing in the morning at 11;00am. For my second ident I will be filming it at 13;00pm.
